An exquisite antique Art Deco ring adorned with a smooth cabochon carnelian weighing approx. 3ct. The carnelian has a lovely, deep amber hue and is set in a silver frame bordered by twinkling marcasite’s.
Carnelian was once known as the setting sun by ancient Egyptians due to the stones deep orange colouring. The stone has been worn throughout history as a symbol of leadership and said to provide the wearer with the courage needed to succeed.
The piece has remained in excellent condition from the early 20th Century and displays a wonderful collection of stones.
